Hello!  Thank you for visiting Star Rise Tutoring!  Whether you are a college student who needs to brush up on writing skills or a parent of a first-grader who needs help with phonics, you have come to the right place!  My name is Jennifer Darieng, and I have been tutoring professionally for over 10 years.  As a tutor, I have worked with students of all ages and grade levels and have helped my students to succeed in their language arts, reading, and English classes.  I also have helped dozens of students prepare for the  Language, Reading, and Writing portions of standardized tests such as the SAT and the ACT.  

As a classroom teacher, I taught middle and high school English for eight years.  I am a two-time Teacher of the Year who is truly passionate about inspiring my students to love reading and learning.  I have a Master's Degree in Education in Curriculum and Instruction/Reading Intervention and a Bachelor's Degree in English Education.
